Card Patterns#7

Just a quick post to upload my card for Card Patterns sketch #7. This is a birthday card I made for my nephew Braden's birthday. We celebrated yesterday with a trip to the Science Center. Anyway, Here is sketch #7:

And here is my card:

I had a lot of trouble with stamping the sentiment. I covered the chipboard 'gear' with silver ink, because I didn't have any silver paint. Well, the black ink did not stamp very well on top of the silver ink! I was in a hurry, so I just went over it with a black fine tip marker. If I had more time I would of tried something different. The moral of the story is not to wait til the last minute to make a birthday card!!

cardstock: Stamper's Select and Pure Poppy (PTI), Silver (Bazzill Bling) navy (unknown)
stamps: Gizmos and Gears (Lizzie Anne Designs), Background Basics (PTI)
ink: Silver (ColorBox), True Black (PTI)
Other: Prismacolor Pencils, baby oil, chipboard (Maya Road), brads
, Shimmerz-Silver Bells

  1. Very cute card - that little robot is adorable. Nice job using the sketch - the hand-stamped backgrounds are great!! Thanks for joining us this week.

  2. What a fun little card. Perfect for a boy. These are always so difficult for me to make. Love your take on the sketch. Glad you could join us.

  3. I really love your card! I'm sure your nephew appreciates it...And I'm enjoying your playlist too!

  4. As always - a super cool card! Braden had to forfeit it over to me - though I may let him have it back someday :).

  5. Oh Melanie, isn't this soooo adorable?! I definitely love that robot and sprocket gears. A must have for every boy!
